İşletmelerin çevre yönetimine etik yaklaşımı

Abstract

Endüstrileşme sürecinin hız kazanmasıyla beraber doğal kaynakların kirlilik, aşırı tüketim gibi sebeplerle yok edildiği ve kısıtlı kaynakların nüfus artışı ile birlikte yakın zamanda sürdürülebilir bir gelecek için yeterli olmayacağı öngörülmektedir. Bu durum kaynaklar üzerinde önemli bir baskı yaratan endüstriyel işletmelerin konuya ilişkin hassasiyet göstermesinin gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır. Yasal ve idari düzenlemeler normatif çerçeveyi belirlese bile her zaman ve her durumda yeterli olmalarını beklemek yerinde değildir. Denetlenecek kapsam ve alanın genişliği nedeniyle işletmelerin çevresel sorumluluklarını yerine getirmeleri sırasında yasal denetimlere ilave olarak ahlaki normlarında yol gösterici olmasını sağlamak önemlidir. İşletmelerin çevre etiği ile alakalı yaklaşımlarını irdelemek amacındaki bu çalışma öncelikle etik kavramını detaylı olarak ele almayı hedeflemiştir. Etik kavramı tarihsel bağlamına uygun olarak ahlak kavramıyla ilişkili şekilde ele alınmış ve çalışmanın amacına uygun olarak iş ve meslek etiği boyutlarıyla birlikte v değerlendirilmiştir. İşletmeler, içinde yaşadığımız modern endüstriyel toplumların ayrılmaz parçalarıdır. İşletmelerin özellikle üretim faaliyetlerinin sürdürülebilirliği açısından çevre ile ilişkilerinde davranış kurallarının belirli ilkeler etrafında yapılandırılması gerekmektedir. Dış denetlemelere muhtaç olmadan işletmeleri kendi etik değerleri doğrultusunda toplumsal faydaya hizmet edecek bir tavır içinde ve çevre koruma bilinciyle hareket etmeleri son derece önemlidir. Bu çalışma ile işletmelerin etik yaklaşımlarının çevre koruma ve sürdürülebilir endüstrileşme olgusuna ne ölçüde fayda sağlayabileceği konusuna ışık tutmak hedeflenmektedir.

As the industrialization process accelerates, it is envisaged that natural resources are destroyed due to pollution, excessive consumption and limited resources will not be sufficient for a sustainable future together with population growth in the near future. These circumstances demonstrate the necessity of showing sensitivity to the issue of industrial enterprises that have created significant pressure on resources. Even if legal and administrative arrangements determine the normative framework, it is not right to expect them to be adequate at all times and in all cases. It is important to ensure that enterprises are guided by ethical norms in addition to legal audits when performing their environmental responsibilities due to the scope and width of the field to be audited. The aim of this study is to examine the approaches of companies related to environmental ethics and to examine the ethical concept in detail. The concept of ethics as appropriate to the historical context has been handled in a way that is associated with the concept of morality, and in accordance with the objectives of the study it has been evaluated together with the extent of business and vii professional ethics. Enterprises are integral parts of modern industrial societies in which we live. The code of conduct requires to be structured around specific principles in relation to the environment, especially in terms of sustainability of production activities. It is very important for enterprises to act in a manner that will serve social benefit in line with their ethical values without need for external audits and with the awareness of environmental protection. In this study, it is aimed to shed light on the extent to which ethical approaches of enterprises can benefit the environmental protection and sustainable industrialization phenomenon.
