Bilişim teknolojileri öğretmenleri ve öğretmen adaylarının tablet bilgisayarla eğitime ilişkin görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışma bilişim teknolojileri öğretmenlerinin ve öğretmen adaylarının tablet bilgisayarla eğitime ilişkin görüşlerini tespit etmek ve önerilerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Teknolojinin hızlı ilerleyişi eğitim alanına yansımış, teknolojik araçlar eğitim aracı olarak kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Ülkemizde özellikle FATİH (Fırsatları Arttırma ve Teknolojiyi İyileştirme Hareketi) Projesi ile birlikte tablet bilgisayarlar eğitim alanına daha fazla girmiştir.Bu çalışmada Uludağ Üniversitesi'nde yürütülen TAFAAL Projesi yardımıyla ulaşılan katılımcıların, durum çalışması deseni yardımıyla tablet bilgisayarla eğitime ilişkin görüşleri belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemi Bursa ili Nilüfer ve Osmangazi ilçelerinden sekiz bilişim teknolojileri öğretmeni ve Uludağ Üniversitesi Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Öğretmenliği bölümünden sekiz aday öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Gözlem ve yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniği kullanılmıştır. Öğretmen ve aday öğretmen ile yapılan mülakat ve dört farklı sınıfta yapılan gözlemlerden elde edilen verilere içerik analizi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda tablet bilgisayarla eğitimde önceliğin içerik sağlanmasına ayrılması; derslerin tablet bilgisayara dayalı olmasından ziyade, tabletin bir destek aracı olarak kullanılması; öğretmenlerin mutlaka hizmetiçi eğitime alınması ve bu eğitimlerin belirli dönemlerde güncellenerek tekrar verilmesi; BTY dersinde öğrencilere tablet bilgisayar kullanımı konusunda eğitim verilmesi katılımcılar tarafından gerekli görülmüştür. FATİH Projesinin mevcut durumunun yetersiz olduğu, tablet bilgisayarın dağıtılmasına rağmen internet alt yapısı, içerik ve öğretmen eğitimi konusunda eksikler olduğu belirtilmiştir. Aday öğretmenler, Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi bölümünün donanım açısından kendini yeterince güncelleyemediği ve tablet bilgisayar konusunda yeterince tablet bilgisayara sahip olmadıklarını, sadece TAFAAL Projesi kapsamında mobil öğrenme konusunda bilgi sahibi olabildiklerini belirtmişlerdir.

This study has been conducted in order to determine the views and suggestions of information technologies teachers and teacher candidates towards tablet computer education. Rapid progress of technology has an impact on the education field and technological tools has been used as a teaching tool. In our country, particularly by means of FATİH (movement to increase opportunities and technology) Project, tablet computers has been more in the education field.In this study, views of the participants reached with the help of TAFAAL Project conducted in Uludağ University have been determined about tablet computer education according to case study as a research design. Sample of the study consists of eight information technologies teachers from Nilüfer and Osmangazi Districts of Bursa and eight preservice teachers from Uludağ University, Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology. Observation and semi-structured interview technique have been used. Descriptive analysis has been applied to the data obtained from interviews conducted with teachers and preservice ones and observations made in four different classes. As a result of the conducted study, followings have been required by the participants; priority in tablet computer education is to ensure content; tablet computer can be used as a support tool rather than main one; teachers should be taken in training and in-service trainings and these ones should be given again in specific terms by updating the trainings; in the Information Technologies and Software classes tablet computer training should be given to the students. Inadequate current state of FATİH Project and lack of internet infrastructure, content and teacher training have been stated although tablet computers have been distributed. Candidate teachers have stated that Computer Education and Instructional Technologies Department could not update itself adequately in terms of hardware and do not have enough tablet PC computers, only within the scope of TAFAAL project can be very familiar with mobile learning.
