Abstract: 19th century is an important period of the Ottoman history as the corruption of the Empire gained tension. Application of radical measures by governers to problems who sought to prevent the collapse of the state is another factor giving importance to it. Tokat, being an Ottoman city, was an important commercial and production center till the beginning of the century. She had heterogenius features in terms of the population. In this connection, ve sought to find how was the socio-economic structure of this city on the eve of the collapse of the Empire according to the Judge Record of 1812.
