Abstract: The integration of technology into education is a very comprehensive and complex process. The results derived from different countries' experiences show that several barriers may arise within such a process. Intitutional barriers are sample of such barriers. The purpose of this study is to put forward on the base of literature the institutional barriers encountered within the Turkey case. It is concluded consequently that technological planning on the level of school is not prevalent and it is restricted only with some personal researches. In addition, it is observed that school principals who are in the charge of implementation of integration process have some difficulties in performing their leadership roles.
