Evsizler için üretilecek modüler yaşam birimlerinin tasarım kriterleri üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Evsizlik, günümüzde küresel ölçekte karşılaşılan en ciddi sorunlardan biridir ve bu durum Türkiye’de de potansiyel bir tehdit düzeyine ulaşmıştır. Dünya genelinde evsiz sayısının giderek arttığı gözlemlenmekte ve evsizlerle ilgili çalışmaların önem kazanacağı düşünülmektedir. Gelişmiş ülkelerde evsizlik sorununun çözümüne yönelik çeşitli kurum ve organizasyonların başarılı uygulamaları ve etkin politikaları olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmalar mimari açıdan tasarlanacak evsiz yaşam birimlerinin tasarım ve uygulama sürecine yön veren uygulamalardır. Türkiye’de de evsizler için yapılacak mimari çalışmalara ihtiyaç olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, evsizlik sorununu mimari açıdan incelemek, evsizler için geliştirilecek modüler yaşam birimlerinin tasarım kriterlerini belirlemek ve Türkiye’de evsizler için üretilecek mimari projeler için öneriler geliştirmektir. Tez çalışmasında öncelikle, literatür araştırması kapsamında evsizler için modüler yaşam birimlerinin tasarım kriterlerine ilişkin yerleşim, mekansal ve yapısal ölçekteki kriterler belirlenmiş ve analiz çerçevesi oluşturulmuştur. Bu kapsamda, gelişmiş ülkelerdeki uygulanmış ve tasarım düzeyinde olan evsizler için üretilmiş modüler yaşam birimi örnekleriyle birlikte yazara ait tasarım düzeyinde olan proje de analize dahil edilerek toplam sekiz örnek belirlenen kriterler bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme sonucunda, çalışma mimarlık bina bilgisi alanında yapıldığından örneklerin analizinde yerleşim ve mekansal ölçeklerine odaklanılmış, örneklerin tasarım kriterleri tespit edilmiş ve örnekler hem literatürdeki kriterlerle hem de birbiriyle karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu değerlendirmeler sonucunda, Türkiye’de evsizler için üretilecek modüler yaşam birimlerinin tasarım kriterlerine yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın, gelişmekte olan ülkeler için mimari açıdan örnek teşkil edebileceği ve Türkiye’de belediyeler ve merkezi yönetim için uygulanabilirlik konusunda bir rehber olabileceği öngörülmektedir.

Homelessness is one of the most significant problems encountered on a global scale today, and this situation has reached the level of a potential threat in Türkiye as well. It is observed that the number of homeless persons is increasing gradually around the world, and it is thought that studies related to homelessness will gain importance. It is seen that various institutions and organizations have successful practices and effective policies to solve the homelessness problem in developed countries. These studies are the applications that guide the design and implementation process of the homeless living units to be designed in terms of architecture. It is believed that there is a need for architectural studies for the homeless persons in Türkiye. The aim of this research is to examine the problem of homelessness from an architectural perspective, to determine the design criteria of modular living units to be developed for the homeless, and to develop suggestions for architectural projects to be produced for the homeless in Türkiye. In the thesis, within the scope of literature research, first of all, project site, spatial, and structural scale criteria for the design criteria of modular living units for the homeless were determined, and the analysis framework was created. In this context, along with the project samples of modular living units produced for the homeless in developed countries and in design stage, the project in design stage of the author was included in the analysis, and a total of eight samples were evaluated in the context of the determined criteria. As a result of this evaluation, as the study was carried out in the field of architectural building design and theory, the analysis of the samples focused on project site and spatial scales, the design criteria of the samples were determined, and the samples were compared both with each other and the criteria in the literature. As a result of these evaluations, suggestions have been developed for the design criteria of modular living units to be produced for the homeless in Türkiye. It is envisaged that this study can set an architectural sample for developing countries as a guide on applicability for municipalities and central government in Türkiye.
